Halal Beef Bacon Egg Nests



Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon butter or margarine
  • 12 traditional halal beef bacon strips
  • 6 eggs
  • Fresh parsley sprigs

 

Method:
  1. Lightly grease six muffin cups with the butter. In a shallow frying pan, cook the halal beef bacon over a medium heat until cooked but not crisp. Drain on paper towels.

  2. Cut six halal beef bacon strips in half width-wise; line the bottom of each muffin cup with two halal beef bacon pieces. Line the sides of each muffin cup with one or two halal beef bacon strips. Break an egg into each cup. Oven bake uncovered, at 325°F/160°C for 12-18 minutes or until whites are completely set and yolks begin to thicken but are not firm. Transfer to a serving plate; surround with parsley.

  3. Ready to serve.
